Sage Timeslips 2014 Delivers New Features to Help Service-Based Businesses Run More Efficiently

ATLANTA (July 2, 2013) – Sage North America today announced the release of Sage Timeslips 2014, the latest version of an industry-leading time and billing management software for service-based businesses. With its ease of use, speed and accuracy of capturing time, and integration with popular accounting software such as Sage 50 Accounting—U.S. Edition, Sage Timeslips leads to greater productivity and profitability. The latest version delivers user-requested enhancements identified as pertinent to running businesses at peak efficiency.

Key enhancements include automatic time tracking, two-way data transfer between the software and accounting solutions, the option to sync the integrated calendar on a mobile device, and the ability to enter and view slips in one area.

Automatic TimeCapture: Manually recording time from multiple sources takes up valuable time for small businesses. The new Automatic TimeCapture feature tracks time spent on all active windows and records the time active windows are open, even when switching back and forth between windows. Users can track time spent on several types of applications, distinguish what types of applications to track the time spent on, and convert captured time for active windows into time slips for future billing.

Sage Timeslips Accounting Link (TAL) Pro: Two-way data transfer between Sage Timeslips and accounting solutions, such as Sage 50—U.S. Edition, saves time and money by accurately capturing billable costs and synchronizing client data between the two solutions. TAL Pro is customizable, with options to specify whether entries should be posted in summary or with detail, determine what information for each client should be transferred, view entries prior to posting when processing a manual transfer, and examine details of past transfer registers.

Calendar Sync: Many times small business owners and employees are working away from their desks. The integrated calendar now has the ability to sync with smartphones and tablets, allowing up-to-date changes and meeting reminders while users are on the go.

Slip List and Slip Entry: Simplifying workflow is beneficial to any small business and the Slip List and Slip Entry feature gives users the ability to enter and view slips in one area, allowing adjustments to be made quickly if too much time is being spent in one area. This feature is customizable, with options to choose the number of slips to display, select the type and amount of information to be displayed, view the number of records directly on the slip list, and note totals as decimals, hours, and minutes.

Billing Assurance Plans: Subscribers to a Sage Timeslips Billing Assurance plan receive automatically delivered product updates, in addition to unlimited access to technical support, online training classes, installation and upgrade assistance, interactive online group training sessions, minor data repairs, one instance of high-severity data corruption repair, and more.
